Project Overview
I've always loved notebooks for the limitless potential they represent, with empty pages waiting to capture secret thoughts, daily accounts and fleeting reflections. I decided to design a set of hardback notebooks for girls and young women, drawing inspiration from the traditional cut-out silhouette portraiture of the mid 1800's.
My intention with the design is to celebrate the inner beauty of young women that are on a path to finding their own individual style and voice. The differing bright colours represent the different configurations that self-expression and individuality can take - each beautiful in their own way.
